Plug In IE convenes labor organizations, employers, and community and environmental justice organizations in a ‘high road’ partnership. They combine emission reduction strategies with industry-responsive training programs that lead to high-quality career pathways. Their goal is a regional approach to work and technological innovation that puts the people and environment of our region before profit.
Together with IEGO, the IELI is regional co-convener for the Community Economic Resilience Fund (CERF). CERF was created to promote a sustainable and equitable recovery from the economic distress of COVID-19 by supporting new plans and strategies to diversify local economies and develop sustainable industries that create high-quality, broadly accessible jobs for all Californians.
IELI has partnered with the Riverside Community College District to create a labor training and organizing center to promote civic engagement and social mobility across the region.
